Master in Detention Law, Organized Crime & Investigation

Understand the crime, assess the charge, design the improvement.

This Master is designed for candidates who aim to build their careers in the justice and security realms and who seek to acquire comprehensive knowledge in criminal justice systems, societal dynamics, and investigation methodologies. The program focuses on the intricacies of detention law, criminal psychology, and forensic analysis – providing insights on the minds of criminals and their operations, as well as on the complex reasoning applied by law enforcers from an international and comparative perspective. In this course, candidates will be exposed to selected case studies from multidisciplinary fields, gaining a rich skill set to tackle complex challenges in detention law, organized crime, and investigation practices.

Upon completion of the Master, candidates will have explored the complex issues that characterize organized crime networks, as well as the legal framework that regulates such phenomena. Moreover, they will explore the tools to navigate the fascinating landscape of cybercrime and security threats, acquiring a unique curriculum to face modern and future crimes, frauds, issues, and criminal trends.

Attendance:

Full-time and mandatory (minimum 75% of attendance)

Eligibility and requirements:

1) BA (completed or to be completed within 6 months) in, preferably:
– Criminology
– Psychology

– Social Science
– Anthropology
– Sociology
– Political Science
NB: candidates holding a BA from a different area and/ or specialization can still (conditionally) apply. UGS admission staff will consider candidacies on a case-by- case basis.

2) English proficiency level, B2 or above (validated
via official certificate (Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, OTE, LanguageCert or equivalent upon approval). Candidates who do not hold a valid certificate will be assessed, via interview, by qualified Unicollege language instructors.

3) ID and CV

Executive formula:

Candidates seeking a Master Executive will complete an additional 150-hour internship component at a selected professional partner.

Fees can be paid either fully (one transaction) or in installments – for the latter option, candidates should email administration@unicollege.eu for a customized plan prior to enrollment.
